Membership Amenities SAN JUAN BAUTISTA The City of History CHAMBER OF COMMERCE___________________________________ Dear 2008 SJB Chamber Member: The San Juan Bautista Chamber of Commerce would like to take this opportunity to Thank You for your past membership. We have been working very hard this year and with your help, we have achieved and made some instrumental changes in helping the Chamber work for you. Here are highlights of a few achievements since last November: 1) After 1 ½ years of running the Chamber office on volunteers only; we hired an Office Administrator to keep consistent hours of operation and be available to meet and greet tourist and locals alike. 2) Over the past 2 years we’ve moved the Chambers financial status from the “Red Zone” to completely out of the woods. Thus, allowing us to provide more and expanded advertising. 3) Given our website a new fresh look with more pictures, business information and updated valuable features such as applications and forms, keeping home page current with all upcoming events, links to other important SJB websites and more. Averages 2000 monthly hits. 4) Continued with the monthly Chamber newsletter to keep you informed on what your Chamber is doing for you and how you can help your Chamber. 5) Continued writing regular columns that focus on San Juan Bautista for the Weekend Pinnacle, Out and About Magazine and Wine and Travel. 6) Ongoing communication and working relationships with the city and other local organizations. . 7) Wrote several articles updating tourism books and magazines such as “Fun with the Family”-Northern California” and “Visitor’s Guide to the Central Coast” to mention a few. 8) Provided members with email, timely updates/reminders of important information. 9) Completed 3 successful City Wide events netting over $25,000.00, while establishing good relationships with long time street vendors. 10) Having moved the Chamber Office to Third Street with more visibility; our retail sales have increased bringing in a consistent revenue stream. All of this and more has made the Chamber a good investment for your hard earned dollars! We are still growing and have a lot on the “To-Do” list. With a strong wonderful volunteer base and YOU we can do even more in 2009! We invite you to rejoin for the 2009 season. Deadline is Friday, December 5, 2008 We are going to be very strict with this deadline due to our goal of having the new booklets with the 2009 calendar of events designed, printed and getting them into member’s hands by January . With your prompt reply, we can realize this goal.
